Emile Heskey

After Heskey’s £11 million switch to Liverpool in April 2000, he was in fine form for Liverpool the following season, scoring a tally of 23 goals, fourteen of which were in the premiership. His brilliant performances earned him a birth in England’s first team line up. In total, Heskey played 222 times for Liverpool scoring 59 goals. Heskey came into the prominence while starring for Leicester City, his career at the club lasted from 1995-2000 as he netted 46 goals for the club.

Nicolas Anelka

Anelka joined Arsenal at the young age of 17 and became an overnight sensation at the club. At Arsenal he appeared a total of 65 times and scored an impressive twenty three goals. His finest strike rate certainly came at Manchester City. He was one of the premiership’s leading goal scorer’s during the 2003/04 season scoring a phenomenal seventeen goals in the league; in total he scored 38 goals in 89 appearances for Manchester City. He spent a short period at Liverpool and became an instant favorite with the fans.

Paul Ince

His outstanding performances for Manchester United earned him a birth in the England squad; he was part of the England first team which failed in qualification for the 1994 world cup finals. Graham Taylor installed Paul Ince as England captain, during their summer tour of 1993 of USA; Ince played a vital role in the England team during Euro 96, playing in four of the five matches, he was outstanding in England’s 4-1 thumping of Holland, and however England only reached the semi-finals. Ince played an important role in the qualification matches for the 1998 world cup finals, he was heroic during England’s 0-0 draw against Italy away from home, injuring his head and staying on the pitch for the entire match. Ince moved to Liverpool after his successful spell at Old Trafford, he soon became a firm favorite with the Liverpool fans.
